Love libertine

I was looking for low profile boots since my previos brand discontinued snowboard line. So Rome SDS libertine boas caught my attention immediately. When I tried them in my first run. I fell in love from the first moment. They are super responsive and the feeling was extremely better than my previous brand ones. So keep going with excellent gear guys and with these boots model that I’m surely going to get the new libertine boas

Finally found the perfect boot!

I’ve been trying and experimenting with various boots - Burton Ruler, Burton Photon, Nidecker Rift, Ride Fuse and now the Rome Libertine. The Libertine is my favorite of the whole bunch. They aren’t the most comfortable of the bunch but they fit my feet well enough without being bulky, I love the flex profile, the footprint, the board feel and the build.

I have flat feet and wear aftermarket insoles.

These boots have noticeable cushioning on top of the toes and top of the shins. Felt weird at first but after riding these for a bit, the cushioning feels like performance points. These boots can carve toe side, do well at slower speed and are great for freestyle.

Obviously, the best boot is the one that best fits your feet but these boots just have something different than the other brands I have tried.

My only complaint is that they are noticeably harder to get on and off. But once you’re in them, it’s a joy to ride these boots.

They are true to size. I wear an 11 in Burton and Nidecker and am also an 11 in the Libertine.

Bad build quality and reliability.

Just after 15 days of riding, the toe cap of the right foot got a hole that water could get inside. I never put my board on the toe of a chairlift, so I am sure that the hole was not caused by my board's edge. And my thirty-two TM-2 boots haven't had such an issue for 4 seasons. The lace quality is also not good, and one of the laces almost broke in 15 days. Now, I have replaced it with twenty-two spare lace.

The positive side is the good heel lock and comfort fit. But you can feel some pressure points, which are not found on TM-2. In general, I like this Libertine Hybrid Boa, but I am just disappointed with this "one-season-boots".
